Big Blue Water Filter Housings are ideal for the removal of a wide range of contaminates. The 5-10-micron sediment and carbon filters used in this system can remove sediment, chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, organics, MTBE, and THM. The added GAC filter ensures that tastes, odors, and chemicals are removed that may have gotten through the carbon block filter due to high contaminate levels. It also removes most other chemicals, tastes, and odors, and is an excellent system for general filtration. The three-canister system provides cleaner, safer water without electricity or wastewater. These 20" high flow "Big Blue" filters (larger 4.5" diameter) provide even more surface area and fewer flow restrictions than standard-sized filters (2.5" diameter) or 10" Big Blue systems, allowing for even higher service flow rates. Big Blue filter housings offer the versatility to meet all your large-capacity filtration needs, including high-flow and heavy sediment applications. The extra-large housing allows for greater cartridge capacity for high-flow rate applications. Reinforced polypropylene housings have excellent chemical resistance and are ideal for many residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
As an option, we offer Stainless Steel housings as well.

Past generation water softeners remove the calcium/magnesium and replace them with sodium ions, adding unhealthy salt to your drinking water. WHOLE-HOUSE FILTRATION SYSTEMS
The Whole House System (WHS) perfectly protects your family from the harmful effects of sediment matter that frequently appears in the untreated well/municipal water. To decrease the amount of sediment matter and improve the organoleptic characteristics of the water (color, smell, and taste) the WHS uses the best granular activated carbon available today.
The WHS purifying system used by PWT is characterized by the US Environmental Protection Agency as the best suitable technology for the removal of sediments and chlorine from the water.

An air injection technology allows for a pocket of air to be compressed at the top of the tank allowing the water to flow through the pocket of air and the iron to be oxidized, meaning it falls out of solution and allows the filter bed to remove the contaminate.
